Tool terms of use

What the riftveil.ai assessment tool does, and what you accept by running an assessment.

Terms

These terms apply to the riftveil.ai assessment tool. By running an assessment, you accept them.

What the tool does. It applies the Riftveil protocol to the text you submit (the project) and produces a report written by an AI model. The report surfaces assumptions and asks questions; it may be incomplete or inaccurate. The decision, and what you do with the report, remain yours.

What you do not submit. No personal data: no names, addresses or contact details, and no data about clients or colleagues; replace names with roles. Nothing your organisation classifies as confidential. No text you are not entitled to share with a third party. You are responsible for the text you submit.

Your data. Your text is sent to the AI model provider to produce the report; riftveil.ai does not keep it. The provider, the retention periods and your rights are described on the Privacy page.

Use. The tool is meant for individual, reasonable use. You may not automate it, get around its daily limits or its bot check, or use it unlawfully. The tool may be limited, changed or interrupted at any time.

ID, seal and record file. A valid seal proves that riftveil.ai assigned this ID at the time shown by its clock (Riftveil time stamp), and that the text has not changed by a single character since. The seal is checked on riftveil.ai. The signature, however, is checked with riftveil.ai's public key: anyone can do it, without going through us. The seal covers the date and the integrity; the substance of the project and the decision remain those of the person who signs. The time shown is that of the riftveil.ai clock at the moment of sealing. A qualified electronic time stamp within the meaning of the eIDAS Regulation is issued by a qualified trust service provider. The signature made on screen is a simple electronic signature: the name is the one the person declared. Riftveil asks the questions. The person who signs attests what they reviewed, and within what limits. The decision, and its compliance with the rules that apply, belong to your organisation. Details are on the Verify a report page.

How long seals are checked. riftveil.ai keeps checking the seals it has issued. Should it ever stop checking seals that begin with “S1-”, it would announce this on this site at least twelve months in advance. Riftveil provides an assessment tool and a record format. For a qualified trust service within the meaning of the eIDAS Regulation, contact a provider on the European Union trusted list. Riftveil makes no other commitment as to duration.

Liability. The tool is provided as is, with no commitment as to availability or results. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for decisions taken on the basis of a report, nor for indirect damage. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow to be limited, nor the rights you hold under the law.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the law of the country where the publisher is established (see the Legal notice). If you use the tool as a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings before the courts of that country.
